Our History

William H. Wise IV, a successful entrepreneur whose career in the payment processing industry spans over 17 years, founded AdvoPay in 2010. Since its inception, AdvoPay has collaborated with businesses across the United States to help strengthen sales ratios, increase profit and average ticket, reduce losses and liabilities, and ensure customer retention. Through innovative and technologically advanced merchant bankcard services, AdvoPay services thousands of merchantsí processing needs securely with transactions totaling millions of dollars each year.

William Wise

President
and Chief Executive Officer
William Wise serves as president and chief executive officer of Advocate Merchant Solutions, a national leading merchant processing service provider. As an executive level professional with comprehensive experience in sales consulting, organizational development, and technology leadership, William brings over 15 years of experience in the payment processing industry to the company. In his current role as president and CEO, William delivers vision, leadership, strategy, and innovative ideas to his integrated team of professionals. Williamsís entrepreneurship and leadership abilities have allowed him to develop a successful, self-sustaining, profitable sales corporation from the ground up and a recognizable leader in the processing and consultative services industry.

Under Williamís leadership his company was recognized in 2011 in Inc. magazine as one of the top fastest growing companies in America. In 2012 his accomplishments were recognized once again as Inc. featured his corporation as one of the top biggest job creators, ranking #8 out of the top 100 companies in America. In 2011, William received a Certified Payments Professional designation by the Electronic Transaction Association.

William graduated with highest honors from Marian University with a Bachelorís degree in Business Administration, in Marketing, Management, and Finance. Currently enrolled in the online graduate program of Creighton University, Omaha Nebraska, William is earning a Master of Science in Information Technology Management. Concurrently, he is pursuing a JD/MBA from Indiana Universityís Kelly School of Business, and the Robert H. McKinney School of Law. Close

Jason Spector

Chief Strategy Officer
As Chief Strategy Officer of AdvoPay, Jason is responsible for corporate development, strategy, and guiding operational change within the company to drive sustainable profitable growth. He supports the overall process of management and corporate decision making to ensure the organization manages its short and long-term profitability. Jason has an aptitude for innovative approaches to strategy and management including revamping process, workflow, and managing associated change.

Jason started his business career at age 16 when he started one of the first mobile communication companies in the Midwest. As a first to market, his company grew to multiple locations throughout various states and was later purchased by a national service provider.

Before joining AdvoPay, Jason served as a chief strategist of J3 Advisors LLC, a business-consulting firm in Fishers, Indiana. He also spent 12 years as the President and Chief Executive Officer of IMN Companies LLC, a company specializing in mortgage, real estate, insurance, and investment services. Jason has drawn on these experiences in various roles to proactively enhance the companyís current operations by developing and managing the plans needed to attain specific corporate goals and growth.

In 2005, Jason received the award of recognition, ďIndianapolis top 40 Under 40 business professionalsĒ from the Indianapolis Business Journal. Jason holds a Bachelorís degree in Business Administration from Indiana Universityís Kelley School of Business, where he majored in International Studies. Close

Greg Perry

Customer Service Director
Greg manages AdvoPayís deployment and customer service departments, ensuring merchant satisfaction through continued support and the timely installation and activation of equipment. As Director of Customer Service, Greg is dedicated to delivering a level of excellence in customer service and satisfaction that is unparalleled in the payment processing industry. He specializes in maintaining relationships and managing high-pressure situations utilizing his excellent logical reasoning skills and in depth knowledge of billing and pricing, in combination with his ability to solve technical difficulties. Gregís accomplishments derive from his wide array of skills including his ability to install and program equipment, change pricing from tiered to interchange, and compare competitorís rates.

Prior to his current position, Greg served as the Assistant Vice President of Business Development for Wise Payment Systems. His involvement in sales contributed to a comprehensive understanding of the products and services offered by AdvoPay.

For over 3 years, Greg served as a youth sports supervisor for the YMCA of Fishers, Indiana. He holds a Bachelorís degree in Psychology and Law and Society from Purdue University. Close

Sarah Hoyt

VP Risk
and Portfolio Analytics
Sarah manages AdvoPayís finance department. Her primary responsibilities involve forecasting profit, analyzing office expenses for budgetary purposes, calculating true-ups, and monitoring profit and loss. Additionally, she manages human resource functions and office operations. Trained directly by the President of AdvoPay, Sarah possesses a wealth of knowledge of every facet of the business. She is an excellent resource for information and continually assists her colleagues.

Prior to her career with AdvoPay, Sarah served for 7 years as a Quota Coordinator for Comcast. Sarah holds and Associateís degree in Business Administration. She is currently attending Marian University, pursuing a Bachelorís degree in Business Administration in Finance, Management, and Marketing. Close

Michelle Johnson

Business Development Manager
In her role as Business Development Manager, Michelle is responsible for managing outside sales representatives, recruiting new sales agents, and writing sales proposals. She is proactive in assisting others, acts as a resource for information, and maintains a positive attitude.

Michelle started her career with AdvoPay as Sales Administrative Assistant. Her commitment to developing a relationship with others coupled with her ability to influence others resulted in her promotion to management. She has experience in event coordinating, marketing, and customer service.

Michelle holds a Bachelorís of Science in Tourism Conventions and Event Management from Indiana University. Close

Katey Haddad

Merchant Engagement Coordinator
As a Merchant Engagement Coordinator, Katelyn is actively involved in getting terminals installed by the sales representatives so that our merchants can begin processing payments in a timely manner. She acts as a liaison between customer service and deployment. Katelyn has extensive contact with our merchants and sales representatives as she coordinates the scheduling of terminal installations.

Prior to joining AdvoPay, Katelyn served an internship as an administrative assistant for The Church at Knoxville, TN. Katelyn is currently pursuing an Associateís in Business Administration from Ivy Tech Community College. Close

Joe Trinosky

Business Development Manager
In his role as Business Development Manager, Joe is responsible for managing outside sales representatives, recruiting new sales agents and writing sales proposals. Joe takes a proactive approach to relationship building and enjoys motivating others and being a valuable asset to the team.

Prior to joining Advopay, Joe spent a number of years in recruiting, sales and marketing for an institution of higher education. Drawing on this prior experience, he utilizes his past to help shape the opportunities of today. Joe is an alumni of the Southwestern program, having started his sales training while in college and spent time as a student sales representative and student manager with The Southwestern Company.

Joe is a graduate and holds a Bachelorís of Science in Organizational Communication from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. Close

Hannah Lempera

Director of Marketing
Hannah is in charge of AdvoPayís marketing division. Her position entails identifying and developing strategic marketing initiatives to engage merchants and agents and to create new sales opportunities. In addition to these responsibilities, Hannah works closely with AdvoPayís customer service and engagement team to develop and implement strategies for reducing merchant attrition and increasing brand awareness within the existing merchant base. Other functions include the development of the company websites www.advopayment.com , www.advotraining.com and social media including Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, and LinkedIn. Additionally, Hannah assists in overseeing research and implementation of new services such as merchant advance programs, no-charge terminals, and agent training and incentive initiatives.

Prior to her current position, Hannah served as a financial analyst for Swedish American Health Systems. Her responsibilities included preparing and presenting productivity and financial analyses utilizing decision support and other related tools.

Hannah holds a Master of Business Administration with special concentration in Accounting. She also holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Davenport University. Close

Dawn Strecker

Merchant Account Manager
As Merchant Account Manager, Dawn serves as an advocate for our merchants through resolving technical issues, researching software, and solving merchant problems. Dawn's main responsibilities include programming and shipping terminals to our merchants and assisting sales reps during the installation process. Dawn's attention to detail and technical capabilities make her an invaluable asset to the company.

Dawn has been with AdvoPay for nearly 3 years. Prior to this position, she managed her own business, Simply Elegant Designs. Dawn has significant involvement in team building, and utilizes her former experience to maintain valuable relationships with her coworkers.

Dawn is actively involved in her community; she performs volunteer activities at local schools, churches, and the Homeless Shelter. Close

Tom Foster

SVP POS Division
Tom brings over 14 years of experience in sales training and business development to AdvoPay. Tom?s contributions of systematic follow-up and support are critical to the success of our sales representatives. His role as Senior Vice President of Integrated Payments necessitates his extensive knowledge of interchange management, point-of-sale systems, industry regulations, and emerging technologies.

Prior to his position with AdvoPay, Tom served as Senior Executive Vice President of Sales for Wise Payment Systems. He served as Managing Partner for Sterling Technologies West, LLC for 2 years. He also spent 6 years as Vice President of Trinity Payment Services / Group One Financial. Tom started his career in sales as an Independent Contractor for EFS National Bank.

In 2011, Tom received a Certified Payments Professional designation by the Electronic Transaction Association. Tom is currently attending Marian University, pursuing a Bachelor?s degree in Business Management, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship. Close

Reise Williamson

Agent Support Representative
In his role as Agent Support Representative Reise coordinates the activities of the sales team and works closely with agents and merchants to expedite the approval process.

Prior to joining AdvoPay, Reise worked in social services for three years assisting individuals with mental illnesses. He also worked for Closures Systems International for two years as a Lab Technician in Research and Development.

Reise is a graduate of Indiana University, with a Bachelorís degree in Applied Health Science. He is eager to help others and draws from his previous experiences to promote successful, long-lasting relationships with AdvoPayís merchants and sales agents.

Kari Ponto

Agent Support Representative
In her role as Agent Support Representative, Kari is responsible for overseeing the workflow of outside sales agents. She assists with all aspects of the sales process from start to finish.

Prior to joining AdvoPay, Kari completed courses in business administration at Ball State University before pursuing a career as a manager for Charlotte Russe. She is also a licensed real estate broker.

Kariís background in sales and retail management contributes to her success in team building as she develops rapport with new sales representatives and merchants.

Arron Patterson

Agent Support Representative
In his role as an Agent Support Representative, Arron provides continuous support to our outside sales representatives including maintaining their pipelines and keeping them updated on new information, striving to ensure their success.

Prior to position with AdvoPay, Arron worked in business development two years. He is a focused individual who prides himself of his work ethic and continuous self-improvement.

Arron holds an Associateís degree in Business Administration from Purdue University. He also served two years in the US Army as a financial specialist, stationed at Ft. Jackson, South Carolina.

Caroline Carter

Agent Support Representative
In her role as Agent Support Representative, Caroline is responsible for coordinating the activities of the sales team, processing incoming applications, and resolving discrepancies.

Prior to joining AdvoPay, Caroline spent a number of years in marketing for AT&T. As a New Media marketing consultant, she assisted local merchants with gaining new business, promoting their brand, and educating them on successful advertising campaign initiatives. Her outside sales experience, and working closely with business owners, has helped shape her ideas of great customer service in the market place.

Caroline graduated with honors from Northwood University of Michigan. She holds a Bachelorís degree in Business Administration, with a concentration on advertising and marketing.
